Calendar Submission Guidelines
Community Calendar Postings are designed to announce one-time or special events for programs, not regularly scheduled activities (i.e., church services, exercise classes, etc.). No announcements may be posted that will promote a commercial interest or commercial cause. The Community Calendar may be used to promote: Educational, social, cultural, or recreational events in the Village of Hempstead open to the general public sponsored by non-profit civic, social, charitable, fraternal or educational organizations. The Community Calendar may not be used to promote political events. Exceptions to these guidelines may be made at the discretion of the Village of Hempstead staff. The online submission form must be filled out, including event description and contact information. Forms with no event description or contact name/number may not be processed for posting.

    Are you seeking a job? Well Nassau County Legislator Siela A. Bynoe & Comptroller Jack Schnirman invites you to attend the District Two 2020 Census Pop Up Job Fair. This will take place tomorrow Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 12:30pm - 3:00pm. The location of the 2020 Census Job Fair will be disclosed in a “Pop-Up” manner online; meaning that the location of the Job Fair will be disclosed on the morning of the event. This means you need to visit Legislator Siela A. Bynoe’s Facebook page, OR visit her official County website: on Saturday, June 15th at 9:00AM, in order to find the location of the Job Fair.

    Residents come out on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 1pm to 5pm, at Kennedy Memorial Park: 335 Greenwich Street, Hempstead, NY 11550 to celebrate Hempstead 2nd Annual Juneteenth the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. There will be food, dancing, music, and poetry.
