Calendar Submission Guidelines
Community Calendar Postings are designed to announce one-time or special events for programs, not regularly scheduled activities (i.e., church services, exercise classes, etc.). No announcements may be posted that will promote a commercial interest or commercial cause. The Community Calendar may be used to promote: Educational, social, cultural, or recreational events in the Village of Hempstead open to the general public sponsored by non-profit civic, social, charitable, fraternal or educational organizations. The Community Calendar may not be used to promote political events. Exceptions to these guidelines may be made at the discretion of the Village of Hempstead staff. The online submission form must be filled out, including event description and contact information. Forms with no event description and no contact name and number may not be processed for posting.

Senior Safety Fair and Luncheon

Join us Wednesday, March 8th from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kennedy Memorial Park for a day filled with resources for savvy and safe senior living. Meet with local officials, learn about available services, visit vendor tables and network with others from across the community. The Senior Safety Fair & Luncheon presented by Mayor Hall will include remarks by Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas who will introduce their new Elder Abuse Unit, Presentations by the Hempstead Police Department Community Policing Unit, Information on Social programs and Funding opportunities for seniors and more!
