Bringing Area Job Opportunities to Hempstead!
The New Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum presented by New York Community Bank has started their hiring process for future employees to begin work next year. The 1,300 new positions available include guest services ushers, security staff, information technology technicians, motion graphics designer/animator, facility workers, bartenders, servers, concession stand workers, cooks, box office ticket sellers and many more.
In order to expand job opportunities for our Village residents; myself along with the National Action Network will host two information sessions for Hempstead residents interested in applying for these available jobs.
The two information sessions that will be held are as follows:
- Operations Job Info Session January 4th 12-2 PM with AEG
- Food Service Job Info Session January 5th 12-2 PM with Levy
Both information sessions will provide attendees with a better understanding of the specific types of jobs available, the companies hiring and will answer job opportunity related questions. Computer access is also available for those who want to submit their applications.

Candidates for event-related positions will be screened by the State Department of Labor and will be interviewed at job fairs starting in 2017.
