Village of Hempstead Mayor Wayne J. Hall, the Board of Trustees and the Parks and Recreation Department recently hosted residents at the Village's annual Halloween celebration in Kennedy Park. As part of Mayor Hall’s initiative to promote childhood safety Hempstead’s Parks and Recreation Department created a trick-or-treating environment for Village children to enjoy a fun, friendly and safe Halloween. To celebrate, more than 100 children and families from throughout the Village came dressed in colorful costumes to play activity-boosting games and enjoy three bouncy houses, a live DJ, face painters and traditional Halloween treats.
