[ARCHIVED] SCAM ALERT: Fake utility reps soliciting residents for cash payments

The scammers claim utility services will be disconnected if is not received within 1/2 hour but insist that payment must be made in cash at a specific vending location.

Please be advised we have received complaints about scammers calling and soliciting residents for cash payments of their utility bills.  If someone calls you from any of the utility providers please do not agree to make cash payments to them.  Hang up and call your local utility provider and inquire about your account directly with your company.
