Reporting a service request, checking job opportunities, or paying a bill are now as simple as pulling out a smartphone in the Village of Hempstead!

Hempstead's new and improved App is now available and at your service. Renamed MyHempstead, the new Village Services App replaces the former VillageLine and now offers many more features for Village residents, including Village News, Sanitation Schedule, Employment Opportunities, Village Events, Service Requests, Social Media and Website links and more!

Using My Hempstead Village Services App, which integrates directly with the Village's installation of QAlert, its citizen request management software, citizens can notify Hempstead Village staff, complete with comments and photos, as soon as they discover an issue. Through QAlert, those submissions are then routed to appropriate departments or individuals for handling and resolution.

The new My Hempstead Village Services App allows citizens to report new issues using the iPhone's GPS and camera capabilities, review existing requests, send updates, and receive phone and email notifications of status changes on their issues.

Hempstead Village residents can be in contact with their hometown no matter where they are. By using the address entry screen, a resident visiting family across the country can report an issue there might not have been time to submit before leaving.

With My Hempstead users also have the option of integrating with Facebook and Twitter.  Issues reported using the app are posted to the submitter's wall or tweeted, allowing a conversation among the submitter's friends and followers.

Service requests can also be placed 24/7 by calling 516-478-6333.

The new MyHempstead App allows you to to stay in touch in so many ways all from the convenience of your smartphone. Download the free MyHempstead App today on Google Play or the App Store.
