Calendar Submission Guidelines
Community Calendar Postings are designed to announce one-time or special events for programs, not regularly scheduled activities (i.e., church services, exercise classes, etc.). No announcements may be posted that will promote a commercial interest or commercial cause. The Community Calendar may be used to promote: Educational, social, cultural, or recreational events in the Village of Hempstead open to the general public sponsored by non-profit civic, social, charitable, fraternal or educational organizations. The Community Calendar may not be used to promote political events. Exceptions to these guidelines may be made at the discretion of the Village of Hempstead staff. The online submission form must be filled out, including event description and contact information. Forms with no event description or contact name/number may not be processed for posting.

Hempstead Community Farmer's Market

On Saturday, August 3rd the Village of Hempstead in conjunction with Choice For All presents the Hempstead Community Farmer's Market. All produce are grown at local farms in Long Island. Come out for a delicious and healthy selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and other products. This youth operated market will take place every Saturday starting Aug 3rd through Oct 26th from 11am to 3pm at the parking lot next to Village Hall (99 James A. Garner Way). Applications are being accepted for youth interns a stipend of $1,200 will be paid to interns. Youth with working papers within the ages of 14-22 are encouraged to apply. Openings are limited.
