About Us
This office is the general information bureau of the Village. We maintain the official record of Village Board meetings, and the careful maintenance of archival material. The Village Clerk is the Records Management Officer and Records Access Officer for public FOIL (Freedom of Information Law requests). The Clerk’s Office acts as Election Commissioner (Village of Hempstead elections only), Registrar of Vital Statistics, and Board of Trustees. The Clerk’s office also issues/processes applications for parades, special event and public assembly and Block Party permits.

- Dumpster Permits
- Garage Sale Permits
- Maintaining Records of Local Legislation
- Notice Defect Record of Written Notice of Defect
- Order to Pay Claims Transmit Funds Production of Books and Records Under Foil
- Responsibility of Minutes
- Tax Receiver
- Licensing Commissioner
