Fire Department
The Incorporated Village of Hempstead’s Fire Department provides fire protection and fire extinguishing services, initiating life rescue, rendering emergency medical assistance, controlling hazardous material situation including weapons of mass destruction incidents and providing related emergency services. The Fire Department administers and enforces the prevention code and the housing code. The Village Fire Department also promotes prevention activities designed to reduce the incidence and probability of fire.
