Message from Mayor Wayne Hall:
The Hempstead Clean-up Day scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1st from 10am-4pm has been cancelled due to inclement weather. We will reschedule in the Spring. The Board of Trustees and I wish to thank our residents and community organizations for the outpouring of interest that you showed in this initiative. It is clear to us that this is a priority for all.

We are committed to creating a litter-free and cleaner Hempstead and will continue working to make that happen. As we move forward with our efforts we will keep you posted. Your involvement is essential to creating the change we want to see in our community.

Once again, we thank you for your support and apologize for any inconvenience. Have a Happy and Safe Halloween and a great weekend!

The 'Not in My Village' Clean-up event that was scheduled forSaturday, Oct. 4th (10am-4pm) has been rescheduled for Sat.,Nov. 1st (same time) because of expected rain.

Location: In front of Village Hall/Denton Green Park (99 Nichols Court, Hempstead).

Our apologies for any inconvenience the change has caused,but we look forward to your continued support and participation as this campaign moves forward.

Do let your friends and neighbors know that this is taking place and ask them to sign up to participate. Participants include concerned residents, business owners, civic associations, tenant groups & youth groups.

This is Mayor Wayne Hall.

This Tuesday, August 5th, from 5pm to 8 pm, I am asking you to join me for our annual National Night Out at Denton Green Park, across from Village Hall, located at 99 Nichols Court in Hempstead.

National Night Out is a yearly event where Hempstead, along with other communities, comes together to take a stand against crime and reclaim our streets. The event will feature lots of fun-filled activities for your children and family, as we join with local businesses, law enforcement, faith leaders and civic organizations to find ways to make our community safer.

In addition to a DJ and musical entertainment, light refreshments will be provided.

So bring your family and friends and join me for National Night Out, this Tuesday, August 5th from 5pm to 8pm. Let's stand together to take back our streets and take a stand against crime. I look forward to seeing you there.

Tyree Curry Scholarship Fund

Hempstead High School.
