- How do I become a member of the Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department?
The membership committee meets on the third Tuesday of every month at Fire Headquarters which is located at 75 Clinton Street in Hempstead. At this time an applicant desiring to become a member will be given a packet containing all the information and requirements needed for them to become a volunteer firefighter with the Hempstead Fire Department.
