The Village of Hempstead has joined in an innovative new Pathway to Citizenship initiative to assist documented immigrants who are interested in attaining U.S. citizenship. Secretary of the State of New York, Cesar Perales, Citi Community Development and the Village will kick-off the program on Tuesday, April 29th at 11am in the Kennedy Park Auditorium.
Pathway to Citizenship will assist immigrants in their citizenship application process, and the evaluation of foreign- received degrees and certifications. Financial education workshops will also be offered.
I am asking you to share the word with your contacts and encourage them to come out if they need information about the Pathway to Citizenship. The program offers a terrific opportunity for individuals to become citizens of the U.S. For more information or to RSVP, contact Max Smith in my office at: 516-489-3400, ext. 264 or x.324.
